MBBS ADMISSION POLICY FOR THE SESSION 2022-23
The following Admission Policy is formulated in compliance with the provisions of Section 18(3) of PMC Act 2020 and PMC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admission, Curriculum and Conduct) Regulations 2022, for admission of students to MBBS program of Swat Medical College.
- Admission process to Swat Medical College session (2022/23) will be conducted and completed through online admissions portal.
- In pursuance of Pakistan Medical Commission, Medical and Dental undergraduate education, (admissions, curriculum and conduct) regulation 2022, any student seeking admission in Medical and Dental College shall be eligible having fulfilled the following mandatory criteria:
- Obtained a Higher Secondary Certificate qualification (HSSC) Pre-medical or an equivalent 12th Grade qualification recognized in Pakistan having obtained more than 60% marks or a higher percentage as maybe notified by the Medical and Dental Council.
- Have passed the MDCAT examination conducted by the National Medical Authority.
- Merit Criteria: The following will be the weightage formula to finalize the final merit list for admissions session 2022/23:
- MDCAT Score (2022): 50%
- HSSC (Pre-medical or Equivalent) Examination: 40%
- SSC (Matric or Equivalent) Examination: 10%
Note: The time line and admission policy is subject to verification and approval by Pakistan Medical commission. Any office orders, notification or instructions regarding changes in admission regulations by Pakistan Medical commission will be implemented by Swat Medical College and above policy will be modified accordingly.

Final merit list of all candidates having applied to this college will be displayed on.

|
Final merit list will represent an offer by the college on the basis of their merit. Any student not accepting the offer shall enable the next student in the merit list to avail the offer.

The college will give to the applicant 3 working days to submit their fee which will represent the acceptance of the offer by the student.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
- The Final Meit List shall represent an offer by the college to the students on the basis of their merit against the allocated seats. Succesful candidates, on the basis of their merit, will have 03 working days to submit their fee failling which will enable the next candidate in the merit list to avail the admission as per PMC Admission Regulations.
- A student shall within ten (10) days of conclusion of their MDCAT exam submit a request on PMC Student Online listing the medical or dental colleges to which they have applied and required their MDCAT result communicated to, The Authority shall cause for the person's result to be communicated to the relevant medical or dental colleges within forty eight (48) hours of the request having been made.
- A student when accepting admission to a college shall be under an obligation to disclose to the college if a prior admission has been accepted by them to any other college, and such student shall prior to accepting such letter of admission must in writing inform the prior college of cancellation of their acceptance with a copy to the designated email of the authority. Failure by a student to cancel the prior acceptance of admission shall render all admission offers of the student as void and the student shall be ineligible for admission, as per PMC Admission Regulations.
