MBBS ADMISSION POLICY FOR THE SESSION 2022-23

The following Admission Policy is formulated in compliance with the provisions of clause (f) of sub section (2) of section 9 and sub section (2) of section 47 of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Act, 2022 (Act No.4 of 2O23), Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admission, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2023, for admission of students to Swat Medical College MBBS program.

A. Eligibility

Any person seeking admission in STMC shall be eligible having fulfilled the following mandatory criteria.

The Candidate must have:

1. Passed the MDCAT Examination.

2. Obtained a Higher Secondary School Certificate qualification (“HSSC”) or an equivalent 12th grade qualification (A Level etc.) recognized in Pakistan and having obtained sixty percent (60%) marks therein, or a higher percentage as may be notified by the Medical and Dental Council.

3. Passed the subjects of biology and chemistry and either physics or mathematics in the examination of the Higher Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan.

C. Merit List

1. The admission to MBBS program of Swat Medical College shall be made strictly based on merit.

2. In case final merit list of more than one candidate is equal up to four decimals, the candidate older in age shall stand higher in merit.

3. The merit list is based on the data entered/provided by the candidates and is subject to correction/revision/amendment in case of any bonafide error, omission, laps, mistakes, fraud or misrepresentation that occurs or is brought to the notice of college authorities within due date.

4. Name appearing in the merit list shall not confer any right on the candidate if he/she is otherwise found ineligible on detection of any error/mistake/fraud/misrepresentation at any stage of admission.

5. Candidates can make a written representation at college admissions online portal through email and through written message on our whatsapp numbers ) against any error, omission, laps, mistakes, fraud or misrepresentation in the merit list by date and time notified. Candidate can only submit complaint from his/her registered email ID and must attach a documentary Proof in support of his/her claim otherwise complaint shall be rejected.

6. No Complaint/application shall be entertained that is received after notified date and time

7. After necessary corrections/ amendments, the final merit list shall be displayed at College Website on 10th January, 2024

D. Admission Process

1. The applications through online portal of the college shall be accepted for the scrutiny and merit formulation as per Pakistan Medical & Dental Undergraduate Education (Admission, Curriculum and Conduct) Regulations 2023.

2. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to provide passed MDCAT and HSSC or equivalent examination results prior to the last date to apply on the admission portal.

3. The applicants shall be bound to provide the following documents through the College website (uploading the documents):

NOTE: PKR 2000/- shall be submitted in college account as admission aplication fee.

5. The last date to apply on the admission portal will be notified.

6. It is the responsibility of all applicants to visit the official website of the college for updated information.

7. Communication to the applicants will be strictly through Email address provided by the applicant.

8. Admission Offer will remain conditional subject to verification of the documents and medical fitness and fee deposit within the stipulated period.

E. Payment of College Fee

The selected applicants shall be bound to deposit fee within three working days failing which the admission offer shall automatically stand withdrawn and next candidate on merit will be issued admission offer.

F. General Provisions

1. Correspondence with the applicant will be strictly through email.

2. PM&DC directives regarding admissions 2023-24 issued from time to time will be followed.

3. A strict NO DONATION POLICY is adopted. No one except office of admissions is authorized to give a written admission offer.

4. All fee will be deposited in the official designated bank account as specified in the admissions portal / prospectus.
